FAIR TREATMENT FOR PEOPLE WHO USE DRUGS:
The Will of Willoughby An online event
Tuesday August 17, 7:00 – 8:00 pm on Zoom and Facebook live
In 2016 the Uniting Church began a campaign to advocate for more compassionate and effective drug laws and policies. With thousands of people unable to access treatment, and preventable harm happening every day, what change does the campaign hope to achieve – and how can we play a helpful part?
The event will include local experience told from the heart, and campaign leaders outlining a wealth of evidence pointing to the need for reform if NSW is to catch up with worldwide best practice. We’ll also feature new and original research into how community attitudes on this issue are moving in the Willoughby electorate. There will be opportunities for questions and discussion.
